Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders in addressing important personal, family, work, and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education.

 

 What Is Family Consumer Science Education?

Family and consumer sciences education encompasses programs, services, and activities designed to prepare youth and adults for a career in family and consumer sciences, including the occupation of homemaking. The programs are designed to provide instruction in the areas of nutrition, consumer education, family living, child development and parenting, housing, home management (including resource management), and clothing textiles.

What Is FCCLA's Mission?

FCCLA's goal is to promote personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education. Focusing on the existence of society's multiple roles; that is, family wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through
