Nurturing Center
Students who need child care may select child care at the
school site or at a facility certified by Child Development
Services. The COPE Center North Nurturing Center is a
full-service child care facility, focusing on the medical,
social, and educational needs of children whose mothers
attend COPE. The center provides nurturing, infant
stimulation, educational experiences and quality health care
for children between the ages of four weeks and four years
of age. Additionally, the center serves as a laboratory for
teen parents and expectant parents wherein they receive
hands-on experiences while acquiring parenting skills. The center is licensed and operated within the guidelines
of the Department of Children and Families. Children who
attend the nurturing center are enrolled in the Miami-Dade
County Public Schools and are offered an innovative,
developmental program.
